The Stairs Poem by desiree hayden

The Stairs

Here I sit at the top of the stairs,
I'm all alone except for me and my teddy bear.
My heart is pounding and pounding,
I feel like it's going to tear.
But the yells soon stop and everyone is forgiven.
But tomorrow night I surely know that the yelling will be driven.
They yell and yell every night to me I know it will never stop.
So I will sit here with my teddy bear so very close to me,
And I hope one day that they will see how bad it truly feels,
But now I know inside pain truly never heals.
