It happened too long ago
Though it seems like yesterday
I still remember it clearly
It was a warm autumn day
...

In my innocence I descend,
Into a naïve dream of the past;
Reliving those precious moments,
That seemed to diminish, so fast.

Mountains possess the honour of being
A stage for the shadows to dance on it;
As birds call their mates and start a-fleeing
All plants wilt to the fast-fading red split.

As I dip in my foot I know it is not right,
Careful not to insertt my entire body;

Keeps us from revealing our true self
A fictitious self, one we aren’t comfortable within
But the poison of envy protects us from reality

Never to be the same again,
Forgiveness is too hard.
Shredded by your cold heart,
Your 'confusion' has torn

The day will come
For an endless dream
Some cries and sobs
But I shall gleam

An Ice Revelation

Cold as ice you snuck away;
I wondered what you really felt,
And waited through the altered days,
To see if one day you would melt.

I thought all ice would melt with warmth,
But there were things I did not know;
The sun can skim the outer layer,
But not disturb the deepest snow.

Winter sometimes feels like eternity;
Summer sometimes far away,
But Winter always follows Summer,
As undoubtedly does night to day.
