An Ice Revelation Poem by Stephanie King

An Ice Revelation

Cold as ice you snuck away;
I wondered what you really felt,
And waited through the altered days,
To see if one day you would melt.

I thought all ice would melt with warmth,
But there were things I did not know;
The sun can skim the outer layer,
But not disturb the deepest snow.

Winter sometimes feels like eternity;
Summer sometimes far away,
But Winter always follows Summer,
As undoubtedly does night to day.

Very enjoyable poem. I like the rhymes - not forced. fx
