T.A. Rosenbaum Poems

We oft' will share those soft spun lores
'neath the care of that starry dome
Oh! The place our heart most adores
Far removed from those sundering shores
...

It’s you I miss
And I promise this
A part of me lives in you
Tho’ never said, it’s true
...

The sun was setting deep and fast
With it cold air blowing
A chill that sank straight to bone
Winter nights are growing
...

A soft breeze blows through my soul
A child's breath on a dandilion's petal
and those seeds upon my heart settle
Can two oft' broke hearts make a whole?
...

I'd wish'd you'd gone with me
When I travelled a road by the sea
with farset eyes and firmset heart aflame
I knew you couldn't be to blame
...

I dreamed we shined into the night
Two stars who floated, shining bright
Giving peace in such a pure of light
...

7.

Why do you love me?
What is it that you see?
...

I remember your essence
Your face, changed, but the in-between…
…us remains a chord and a long quiescence
Something more, though by eye unseen
...

And when I saw the Dawn
Aurora's growing song
I, upon a twilight watered lawn
I, In darkness far too long
...

I defy you from my marrow
Rectitude is my resistance
I stand apart to distance
To remove a part of chance
...

11.

Off it goes
Joyfully, singing, finding its desire, it settles
Keenly, kissing the gentle petals
But when the boreals blow
...

Thanks be to strength, that keeps us in the long night
Thanks to weakness, with which, our soul learns right
Thank you beauty, a place of silence and light
Oh Beauty, you mute all else, make the spirit take flight
...

Then
He told us of sadness, he taught us of pain
He showed us compassion, though in vain
He made us believe and brought to us home
...

I write you words, you'll never read
My heart is yours, you'll never know
I give you my love, which you don't need
Every time, you turn and go
...

There is a moment that emerges,
When beauty abounds, and sounds
Through all the thundering dirges
Shining radiantly bright, a light
...

I lift my heart
I have no words, only hues
No words will do
What I have, I raise to you
...

It is formless, a deep void unfathomable
Which is my pride and anger, that I cannot unseat
But their is a spring, its purity impregnable
Its waters the only safety from defeat
...

The shore is quiet, the waves and gentle breeze
The night calls to me once more
Beneath the moon, do you remember?
How soon the stars in score
...

I had a view of the east
And a tender petal floated in the breeze
Gently, softly, nothing else mattered in the least
At least, when its movements ceased
...

What comes after here is purest truth indeed
That when a mind is vexed
with a heavy heart in need
From deep troubles
...

T.A. Rosenbaum Biography

So, biography, to write down the life to try and tell about the who. But, on a real and important level, what is the 'who.' Who are you? Who am I? Are we a collective of our desires, experiences, likes, and loves? Or are we something deeper, something more tangible than those things that wash away when we sleep and when we die. Pretentious to write this in the bio, perhaps, but I have always pondered it deeply, and perhaps that tells you more about me than if I did this; I love opera, poetry, movies, philosophy (classical and eastern mainly) , nature, and learning. or this; I grew up on a farm and lived in a small town. I grew up with the animals and forests and books as my friends. I was bored in school and often got myself into trouble in a wide range of ways. I don't tell many people I know that I really love to write poems. You be the judge.)

The Best Poem Of T.A. Rosenbaum

Sailors' Song

We oft' will share those soft spun lores
'neath the care of that starry dome
Oh! The place our heart most adores
Far removed from those sundering shores
Where ever our souls may roam
This is the place our desire implores, home

O'er those distant and glassy beaches
Though languid and languishing they seem to we
Oh! The mournful distance teaches!
As we sail the far flung reaches
How that ever limitless horizon leaches
And none can hear our mighty plea
For the waving ocean loudly preaches, 'No home to see! '

Home! Where our hearts' shadows' cast
Even though we love the oceans wide
Beautifully deep and infinitely vast
Has swallowed us at long last
Though we knew that battle could collide
Only little have we ask'd
and now, towards home we stride.
