Inner Demons 1

As far as I can remember
I never experienced demons as a child.

Every time you invade my mind
you bring nothing but pain with you.
Tears instantly fill my eyes,
because that's what you do.
...

I guess that we have reached that certain time in life.
It's now seven years since we became man and wife.
We've have tried and failed, more or less from the start.
So, maybe we've now arrived at the time for us to part.
...

I recently moved home to reflect my economic situation,
and my neighbours asked me to their New Year celebration.
I didn't know anyone, so I just mingled for a while,
introducing myself and trying hard to smile.
...

The doctor told me I was suffering from hypertension
and I had to calm down, and do much less.
Burning the candle at both ends would be a killer,
and my body required a needed rest.
...

A boy and a girl notice each other
they smile and engage their eyes.
At first they see the hair, the lips,
the body shape, hips, and thighs.
...

Part One

I'm lying in my bed trying to make a decision about waking up,
but I still feel tired, and I don't really want to open my eyes.
...

You have your own life signatures
apart of that of your hand.
The unique way in which you smile
and your ability to understand.
...

My working life began digging for diamonds,
but I became ill and fell upon bad times.
Malaria took hold and almost killed me
before I found work down a deep coal mine.
...

Please help me out of this situation.
I have been struggling for too long.
My perception on life has changed,
being here is totally wrong.
