Titus Keya Omwaka Poems

Although my head has been hard like a log
I come to you like a remorseful dog
So humble
And my feet tremble
...

Covid-19 became a global menace
Threatening the human race
Learning was brought to a standstill
More people became ill
...

The populace wonders what it is
Governments no longer at ease
They know nothing about the disease
Lovers urged to abhor the kiss
...

I thought things would get easy
When I get busy
But I took this loss for granted
It robbed me the love life I wanted
...

I cannot fall for your lies
What you did was not wise
I had the way and the will
Your thoughts were ill
...

Tears cascade my visage
When I remember reading that message
That intensified my misery at a young age
I'm constantly looking for a sage
...

When I brought you to my house
You looked like a timid mouse
I thought I was wise
To choose to be nice
...

Laughter and jubilation
Reigned the nation
He's dead
His memory will fed
...

Oh! Lovely Linnet
The girl ever on the internet
I threw the fishnet
But the fish turned out to be a crocodile
...

Trees bend to let you pass
Why do you do things in a fuss?
You blew rain-carrying clouds away.
Now the farmers are stranded

Remorseful Dog

Although my head has been hard like a log
I come to you like a remorseful dog
So humble
And my feet tremble
Even though I have gone astray
Please show me the way

I'm not ready to battle loneliness.
Please whisper a word of forgiveness.
I regret taking you for granted
My tail is in between my legs
Hold me the way clothes are done by pegs
Don't let me go

I didn't want to write in black
Because our love will crack
I never wanted to write in red
Because our love will fade
That's why I wrote in blue
Because I love you
