The midnight moon melted into a
helpless ball of mozzarella and
faded into the stirring blues of the sky,
replaced by a buttery bubble of sunshine
...

I'm waiting for the sun to shine
Waiting for the sky to free
Waiting for your hand on mine
So I can dance away with the sunshine on me
...

Well, do you see me crying?
If you do, I'm dying,
'Cause I don't cry over silly
Little things like you.

We give ourselves away
‘cus we don’t want to feel the pain
of love gone by
...

Your teeth are pearly white with fear,
as if the sound of the drums is all you can hear.
Your eyes are burning like the summer skies,
And I feel it inside of me that we’ll be alright.
...

If it weren't for these quandries; doubts; crimes -
erasing all reason and saving rhyme,
I'd never have learned to tell the time.
...

And I wonder – do they feel it
the taste of words and the
desire to paint them on the blank
empty canvas of the sky?

If only hearts were made from sugar
