When wind blows I pretend to swim
Through fluffy waves of air
That wash over my blushing cheeks
And toss my tangled hair

Formless realm of my spirit eternal
Why dost keep forever in thy palm
Such a wealth of golden rays diurnal
Robbing me of nature's richest balm?
...

In the grey of the afternoon
Whimsical breeze tortures the gossamer curtains
Sucked in, they clutch at the window
Then exhale violently the next breath of breeze
...

Inside my stomach there's a time bomb
Throwing off my heartbeat with its
Tick tick tick tick tick
...

The crownèd prince of vegetables
So proud and elegant
You show no fear as I approach
So young and innocent
...

One thousand thirty seven miles an hour
Mindless  in circles we dance
If not for gravity we'd all be in space
Flung off like so many ants
...

Thou seekest my hands so discreetly, wherefore?
Does your keenest sense tell you on them is blood?
If so, it is yours, take it please, I implore!
Would that sins could be washed off like common mud
...

I watch your hands
Make shapes out of nothingness and
Air, and they
Grow and shift and morph into
...

I'll earn my wrinkles, every one
One by one by one
Each passing smile that stays a while
Each golden ray of sun
...

See the happy girls and boys
Happy messes happy noise
Never playing by the rules
All the lovely little fools
