My Bomb Poem by April Lane

My Bomb

Rating: 5.0

Inside my stomach there's a time bomb
Throwing off my heartbeat with its
Tick tick tick tick tick

It turns and shakes and lives within me
Churning my intestines I am
Sick sick sick sick sick

Its radiation permeates my
Bones and muscles I can feel the
Heat heat heat heat heat

At night I toss and turn and tremble
Deafened by the pulsing of the
Beat beat beat beat beat

In just three days my bomb will finish
Counting out my time you'd better
Run run run run run

For me an end will be relief I
Close my eyes and listen for the
5 4 3 2 1

Awesome imagery but in tune with prevailing conditions in some parts of the world, hence, intriguing poem, . Enjoyed reading. Thanks for sharing. Ten points.
