To laugh at life
You have to have,
A perpetual sense of humor.
...
A little girl dances with her daddy,
Long before she ever knows,
What it means to be a woman.
...
The world is beautiful today.
And I am so inspired by its beauty.
Some say it is all an illusion,
A reflection, just a memory.
...
Cherished by God,
I live in a continual state,
Of awareness.
I am adored.
...
I want to feel “awe.”
I love the feeling of “awe.”
I love that You are so big
And I am so small.
...
I love you, beloved one.
You are my cherie, my precious one and I am you Lover,
Seeking you out and cherishing you like no other.
I take your hand in mine and lead you out onto the dance floor.
...
Kisses in the shower.
A huge bouquet of flowers.
A timely kiss upon my hand.
Soft lips bewhiskered bespeak a man.
...
I felt You, today, rising up inside of me.
I dared to believe the thought I had of You.
That You are all that was or is or shall be.
That if I focused all my attention on You,
...
I believe in YOU,
With all of my heart.
I believe YOU are true.
Your love is my life.
...
God is ever present with me,
And I am ever present with Him.
You are my beloved,
...
I surrender to the benevolence of the One who adores me.
I am loved beyond my wildest imaginings.
Deliciously devoured by delightful dreams of love.
I am poetry.
...
I thought you were the problem.
That my life would somehow right itself if only you were gone.
I was wrong.
I thought that all my suffering would leave when you did.
...
I am a precious, delicate flower,
Breathed into existence by my Father.
Gently cherished, held in His hand,
And nurtured until I became His daughter.
...
Love is a little girl in a pink hat,
Who cuddles up to me even though,
She is almost as big as I am.
Her body matures,
...
Today, if I may,
I call forth the poet in you.
The giddy, dancing, Sufi
That twirls in ecstasy
...
My heart is hurting
Because I am doubting,
Myself.
It seems as though others hurt me
...
“Ah, my Lord, then kiss me quickly and I will drink you in,
As deeply, fully and intensely as I can.”
My soul responds before I know it,
And I start to quiver as I say it.
...
I am on a journey into the Heart of God. Somehow I wanted to invite the universe to join me. I believe God led me to this website to share with the world my experience of Him. All my life I have confessed my guilt. Now I am confessing my innocence.)
A Walmart Parking Lot
To laugh at life
You have to have,
A perpetual sense of humor.
If you laugh,
They say,
The life you live,
Will potentially,
Last much longer.
I am sitting in the dark,
Stranded,
In a Walmart parking lot,
And finding it,
Hard to laugh.
I cannot see the humor in,
My current situation.
I am desperately in need,
Of some comic revelation.
Then suddenly,
It dawns on me.
And I can see,
My poetry,
Is witty confirmation.
With words and rhyme,
I laugh at me,
And thus embrace,
Salvation.
