it's a beautiful sight

When you touch a gentle soul
approach them softly
see them as a person
see them as a whole

The priest removed his vestments
vibrant blue and white
Pulled them over his head
basked in the glow of candlelight
...

It's not missing someone
That's hardest
Missing hurts
But harder still
...

All I see are angry young men
All I see is hatred
All I see is anti-American
All I see is vengeance
...

The situation is clouded
Some hurts you can't explain
Explanations only brought more pain
...

The kids, my nephews, watched in wonder and awe
as we unloaded the motorcycle from the car
the younger one, excitement on his face I saw
as we lifted the motorcycle by its metal handlebar
