And began warm ups
My right ankle taped and bandaged for support
running in place

Maybe it's the early morning hour
Maybe it's the moment before the chime
Maybe it's a feeling sour
Or the composition of this rhyme

I'm taking a break from cleaning
Working like a dog today
I sat down and sweat is pouring off me
It's just one of those hot, humid days
...

More old than young
More young than old
Dreams of love
Never could be bought or sold
...

If you tell yourself 'I am graceful'
You may be flooded with a sense of renewed grace
If you break a pure heart but call yourself 'caring'
You may see morning sunshine streaming through your curtains
...

You can feel it in my notes
If you can't hear it in my words
You can hear it when I bend the strings
Or in the blue note that touches you
...

I feel just like a ragdoll
One made by a grandmother, so kind
Knitted and darnded together with care
With an embroidered face she had in mind
...

I'm inspired by every kind heart
To each I meet and share with
I truly give a part
But double goes for you
...
