Nelson Torres Poems

Hopelessly hoping that hope will come along.
How about you close your eyes an realize it's not all out to get you,
Because what you believe, what you think, is the most real to you.
It doesn't matter if you're dead or alive,
...

Shame, came, popping pain pills,
For some reason forgetting seems to bring thrills.
And even though we're killing our own brain cells;
"it's better to be locked than alive and well".

We all watch as her body's getting stripped
Pulled her from her roots and saw her ivory get ripped.
Such beauty was made, looked upon the eyes of destruction
Stolen from her temple for our silly mass production.
...

You politicians are so sick
Because all the information that you pick
Just brings fear into another's eyes.
You play it like a game
...

Whatever, I won't cry I won't reap,
I just fail to see why my recognition was breached.
Judging is inevitable, that I understand,
But that doesn't give you an excuse to hurt another for loving a man.
...

You were about this small when you were born,
Your eyes as big as the world.
Beatings and batters made you worn
But your parents must've cried when they met you girl.
...

It was I who put the cherry on the icing.
But it is not I who should be pronounced king,
It is us, for we saw eye for eye
And built on history's endless tries.

I think he loved you cause you were too precious from the start,
You pulled out every word straight from your heart.
But it's difficult to be free when fame's got your identity;
Nothing's easy when you're in the apple of an eye.
...

Let me tell you about this guy that I know;
He wants freedom and his head's on the roll.
That's cool with me.
We all want to be free.

Why do you believe it's only for specific people,
I know how to walk on water without making a ripple.
Haven't you ever felt the feeling of being left out?
Because, just to let you know, I'm about to drown from the drought,

The heat felt like fire that went along my skin,
I couldn't help but watch while your makeup stretched down your chin.
After a while the tears became amusing,
Cause if you look deep enough you'll see your problems were defusing.

The Best Poem Of Nelson Torres

Wonderland!

Hopelessly hoping that hope will come along.
How about you close your eyes an realize it's not all out to get you,
Because what you believe, what you think, is the most real to you.
It doesn't matter if you're dead or alive,
You could be in a coma through all this grime.
Either way, nothing's going to change your mind.
It will react in a specific way, and even as it grows, it'll stay attached to that pattern
And it's not how you figure, it's how you fathom.
If you believe that everything around shall be like wonderland,
Then everything around you shall be wonderland!
But that's only if you believe in wonderland, if you believe in so.
And if you believe that everything you are and will be is a hunk of junk
Then a hunk of junk you shall be!
Cause it only takes one thought to get to the best of me
It's like an infection, slowly but surely infecting me
