Lost Poem by Nelson Torres

Lost

I think he loved you cause you were too precious from the start,
You pulled out every word straight from your heart.
But it's difficult to be free when fame's got your identity;
Nothing's easy when you're in the apple of an eye.
It was so much harder cause you weren't just another guy.
After all love is love and danger is so reckless;
Felt like we were playing in the middle of a kill fest.
This world is so ridiculous, emotions aren't clues,
It's the only thing that can't be said, but you feel it so it's true.
After long nights and highs I swear I've got my mind,
I just don't have any motives cause there's nothing I can find.
And I know I didn't figure cause I tried to blow the mirrors.
One by one, two by two, my reflection was a killer.
My empathy stretched far from me and caused so much destruction,
And I felt myself crack by the time your fail seduced him.
It's like I saw it coming from a mile
And after that the only thing that made me smile
Was a thought, a memory, a fantasy of us.
What's even more pathetic was when I lost because of trust.
