In the ocean shore

Rose's Birthday

Le matin ou la nuit

Listen, oh! Soldier of Christ - Look and you will see
The time is near - when people rejoice in woe
But who have seen - what we have seen
And rejoice at the dawn of life?
...

I shouted as he went down the way
Wohin gehst du, friar Monk?
And he turned without delay
Never mind! He said.

I am in love with Anna Moore
The late daughter of late John Moore
Now and before -
She ceased to be no more
...

I thought the drum will cease to beat
Just as Brutus thought of it
When the breeze dry the heat
And my conscience cease to breath
...

Cold!
It is
Like another
We liked it then
...

Like a square peg in a round hole
I fixed amidst the tumultuous crowd
Trying to fit all round
Dancing in imitation of what I see

PROLOGUE:

Far across the craggy rock
Where shepherds once grazed their flock
...

Our faces have been marked by the scars of suffering
Our lives wasted in toil
Our beings consumed in the offerings
Yet... the gods say nothing
...

Sing for me Silva - sing
A sweet song that will make me dance
That will trigger the inner passions of my soul
And let it flow like a running stream
...

It was her 18th birthday
And I told her
I will write her a poem
Describing how beautiful she was
...

You will be told
When you get there (I know)

But there and here it is
...

Her scarf, lightly on her hair
Her gown, flowing down the chair
As her hearth set forth in gratitude
...

Walking under the rain
Was the first day I saw him
I thought I saw the pain
Written all over the stranger.
...

PROLOGUE
Not now but then
This thing in the life of men
May be asked - why and when?
...

Freitag- funf nach halb neun
Early in late October
I wish but can't remember
Nineteen-seventy-five
...

18.

When you told me it was two weeks to the time
I smiled because my fears were calmed
But now here I am
Till now I cannot understand
...

Behold your best friend
Someone you ever thought of
Will one day bewilder you
...

Life is an illusion?
No- not illusion
Life is suspense

The Best Poem Of Nweke Emmanuel

Love's Memory Lane

In the ocean shore
On that great federal eve
There they saw
And like a weird arch image there he sits
His heart as at that time was thrilled with joy
And such harmonious madness flowed from his lips
For it was his fortune scarcely to have seen her

Through the whole tenor of his school day time
The face of one glittered in his mind's eye
Thinking all was love forgot
And a day, prays, draw them nigh
And now on Love's plains the lovers know
The equal right impartial heaven bestows
Nice-sweet…………………they thought it was
Damned- - - - but God alone knows why
Why love? That arrow broke at last
And the he…….. A mortal of the careless kind
Who chose to go where're he had a mind
And never dreamed his lady was concerned
Unknowing what he did

Alas! He leaped amidst a murderous band
At that- - - she nursed him in a distant cave
And how his madness went away
As in the murmurs of a dream
He heard her breath his name

On her scrutiny to his world
With many resolutions all her hope
Showed what he were, a high and a fearless soul.

Then to a new transition
When she felt her heart was crushed
But the soil of common life at that
Was too hot to tread upon.

But for those first affections
Those shadowy recollections
No mortal- - - -no immortal
Nor all that is at enmity with joy
Can utterly abolish nor destroy
In these two lovers
In whose memory is green
Their fairy tale of love forgotten.
