هذا سيّدٌ
من أمريكا
جاء ليشربَ
من دجلةَ
ومن الفراتَ

هذا سيدٌ عطشان
سيشربُ كلَّ ما في آبارنا
من نفط، وكلَّ ما
في أنهارنا
من ماء

هذا سيَّدٌ جائع
يأكلُ أطفالنا بالآلاف
آلافاً بعد آلافٍ
بعد آلاف

هذا سيّدٌ
جاء من أمريكا
ليشرب الدم
من دجلةَ
ومن الفرات
