11 Poem by Tori Bachue

You jump in life, in a bliss
With me watching up at you
Locked down in chains of apathy and self-hatred
Kneeling down without a choice
Under the weight of a thousand tears
A veil of self-importance - a sense of purpose
But nothing is written in the stars for me
I know
My promise - it will never be enough
There's nothing out there, not for me
Death, and war, but love?
Before me - a pool of memories
Of desparation and disappointment
There's no one like me
No one to answer my call, to rescue another maiden in distress
My time was ages ago
I don't belong
Soon - only a voiceless whisper
And one single thought
Help
