Hey there little sleepyhead
Read on through your book
The tasks ahead can wait another day
Dreams that may be flower strewn
And warm nights under harvest moon
Everything is going your way
But take note the stars and memorize
This life as it passes before your eyes
Its much closer now than it was years ago
If I could I'd take your hand
Wander through your dreamy land
But my paths forked along its way
I've to leave this road and follow my river
To the sea, miles and miles away
And where my river empties into the tide
I'll fall into the ocean, waves to ride
Look to the skies on high and pray
The undertow will do its task
Pull me under, sink me fast
While memories of your stars
Flash before my eyes.
