250. Completion Poem by Jaden Knight

Now is appears we will soon reach completion
of the circle that started with the first man
that will end with the fall of humanity
are we at the end of the beginning
or the beginning of the end
that decision I will leave with you

In the beginning we had no laws
society itself did not exist
rules were eventually created
as people attempted to become civilised

Humanity took its first steps at learning
and started on the road to building
too many just built for themselves
and left the majority behind

Leaders ruled their underlings with fear
always a threat on the horizon
even if it never happened
the majority was bullied into obedience

Religion tried to dominate the world
with each one fighting to be the most peaceful
all were spread by battle and conquest
but many decided to ignore it

Society is on the brink of collapse
as the laws are being ignored
civilisation is under threat
but it is too late to stop it

Corrupt leaders govern with intimidation tactics
in order to keep a grip on their power
bullying the majority to believe in their lies
always threatening a new scare

Wars are destroying all we created
many being driven by religion
although the weapons have vastly changed
their intentions have remained the same
