320. Liar Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

320. Liar

Rating: 5.0

My dear! So gallantly you told me a lie
And so innocently I believed your words.
I never thought even in a dream -
You would use them as your swords.

You said to me dramatically,
'I have been cheated by a devil.'
I trusted you to be a good soul
But now I feel - you were a symbol of evil.

Step by step you captured my heart
And used me as your protector.
One day you said to me innocently,
'I love you badly as you are my saviour'.

Then I could not understand-
A game of false love was going on between us.
I loved you with my heart my dear.
Like a true lover so many years I had to pass.

One by one few years I spent.
Then I knew - you just acted with me.
I never thought behind your opaque glass-
There were two eyes of a witch spelling me.

One day my doubt came true
But I already lost so many precious years.
Then I decided to bid you goodbye forever
But it was too late to make my career.

Since then I never met you
But Time took revenge on you for the lies.
You were almost a mad to love me
When you became somebody's mistress.

Even now you love me badly
But I'll never meet you my dear.
Your lies spoiled four lives.
Now even you call yourself a great liar.
