.4. Don’t Trust Lust Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Don’t Trust Lust

In the heart of each man
Lies a beast
That must remained locked
Not released

For left to roam free
It would harm
The unwary girls
With its charm

The beast that I speak of
Is lust
Whose promises
Women can’t trust

So all I can say
Is beware
For lust without love
Doesn’t care
