65th Republic Day In India Poem by Dr John Celes

65th Republic Day In India

With people more and land so vast,
The freedom won was not by war;
Yet, sacrifices of the past,
Must make India, an Asian star.

But unity is needed much,
And honesty must fill all minds;
Hard labour is the magic touch,
And homes must fill with love that binds.

The nation lies in chaos, strife;
More wealth lies hidden safe abroad;
Improve all must common man’s life;
Align with nature for reward.

If love of nation stays foremost,
And love of fellowmen is next,
To victories Bharat land can coast,
And etch its name in golden text.
