A Beautiful Sorrow Poem by Alvin Magsino

A Beautiful Sorrow

Rating: 5.0

a rose-
symbol of love
and blood

i once denied
this rose

then i touched its thorns

every single one
speaks of love
and blood-
stories to tell

as they dig deep into my skin
and blood showers the petals
red-
it becomes redder:
a love that becomes even more stronger

what a beautiful sorrow...

I once told you this is a beautiful poem, but allow me to say it again...it's beautiful! A rose has thorns for a reason, it should be handled with care. Or with gloves, if you don't want to get hurt.
