A Boy And His Blob
A boy sits in a chair
Inside his room
Staring at the stars
Night dreaming away
A blob descends into the boys neighborhood
Coming all the way from outer space
Coming all the way from Blobolonia
The boy stares down from his window
The blob greets him and tells him not to be afraid
He tells the boy that he's come a long way from home
A long way to seek help
The blob tells the boy that things aren't right on his planet
Thing's aren't right at home
The evil emperor has Blobolonia under his watch
Forcing the citizens to eat what he decides
After hearing the Blob's story
The boy agrees to help
Packing a backpack
As well as taking a bag of assorted jellybeans
He climbs out his bedroom window
On to a tree branch
And climbing down to the ground
The boy and his blob know they have a journey ahead of them
As they head off together into the night
