A Breath Of Spring Poem by Cynthia Aluning

A Breath Of Spring

Rating: 4.5

Nature's perfection in spring
Plays a glorious symphony
Under the sunset sky in hues
Two early stars caught in view

Two stars that wont disappear
Twinkling in perfect harmony
From the moment darkness cuts in
Till midnight hours caused to dim

On cricket's rhythmic tunes
Grass dance in every corner and nook
True love finds and unites two lovers
Hearts entwined and bodies entangled

Dawn breaks unknowingly
From spring's night's sleep,
Pale light kissing
The mountain's highest peak
Hearing birds singing
Waking up the lovers' dream
Heaven-sent this meekly scene
Like the date of the bees
And the flowers in spring

A perfect-bloomed flower
Drawn of its nectar
Not by the wind and rain
But by a buzzing pollen bee
A promise of honey!
Left the slightly withered petals
On that precious night...
Who knows how many flowers fell?

Of butterflies and bees
And the fluttering birds,
From the sway of the breeze
And sun's burning streams,
Flowers still bloom in nurturing
In all seasons especially spring

The mouth that tells so easy
A phrase that loudly mouthed
A word that many lips can say
But few hearts can really feel...

Words so sacred blown in a whisper
Prayed in solitude, never just uttered
Heard by the ears but felt by the heart
Make lovers bloom like a bride and groom

That's love.

Cynthia, a wonderful definition of love... it sure beats Webster's. Beautifully done! ! Brian

Dear Cynthia, This is highly appealing; a gorgeous painting with words as the brush strokes. Gregory XOX
