'A Crack In The Ice' Poem by Linda Winchell

'A Crack In The Ice'

Rating: 5.0

There's a crack in the ice
On the frozen waters I walk!
Falling threw is not an option
Someone hand me a tube of, ' Ice crack caulk! '

I didn't think where I was walking was thin!
And I am now getting very nervous!
That I now might just fall in!

Deep to the waters bottom
Of its darkened waters depth.
Should have been much more careful
As to where my feet placed had once stepped.

Another good one! You know thin ice won't harm you it's the freezing water underneath.

It does sound like you might be walking on thin ice. As a rule, it never, or at least rarely, gets cold enough, long enough where I live for ice to get thick enough to walk on, so, I guess I lack experience. Well penned poem, Linda. Thanks Richard
