A Cruel Earth
Oh how arrogant the birds are
Boasting their wings that soar across the open sky
Bragging of their freedom with chirping laughter
Oh how selfish the sea is
Sheltering its tranquility with threatening waves
Soothing itself with its gentle movement
Oh how mocking the stars can be
Taunting the earth with their out of reach beauty
Looking down with beguiling shimmers of light
Oh how cruel the earth can be
We do envy those who're free. Yet, a battle for freedom should not be feared. The flora and fauna cannot fight and are decimated. Humans can fight....if they discover how!
