If I Sit Alone (11/7/08) Poem by Kayleigh ....

If I Sit Alone (11/7/08)

Rating: 4.8

If I sit alone crying will anyone bother to find me
Will anyone care enough to look
Does anyone even know I'm gone

Would you notice if I begged on my knees
Can anyone return the happiness you took
What if i stayed out here until dawn

I've never felt a sadness to this degree
When you left the ground shook
And everything I loved and adored was withdrawn

I'm not okay; this I can guarantee
You stole my smile just like a crook
I can't forget what I've foregone

If I sit alone crying; will anyone bother to find me
Will anyone care enough to look
Does anyone even know I'm gone

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Wow, I feel the same way. I guess all you can do is tell yourself that there are people who care. If not, it gets hard to live.

at my age it's easy to forget that 13 year olds have romantic relationships this good poem reminds me that my first girlfriend was 11 and I was 12 two suggestions: 1 keep questions to a minimum I have a self imposed rule that never allows questions in my poems when the questions come I write them down and eventually I end up using the answer, sometimes I can't find it and then I go on to something else 2 be careful with poems about love relationships because when your feelings are so close to the writing, it's difficult for us to catch the same emotion
