A Deadly Weapon Poem by Sandra Feldman

A Deadly Weapon

Rating: 5.0

Are the enemies
Of Truth and Peace,
Paid
To lie?

They do it
So, nonchalantly
Calmly and casually,
As if, they knew
They will never be held
Accountable,
For no one seems
At all
Interested
In the Truth
Nor right,
Against wrong!

Lies!
A deadly weapon
Indeed!
That can destroy
Every drop of trust
As did the horse
Of ancient, Troy.

Lies,
That so strongly exemplify
Our ties
To the Devil.
That laughs
On his way
To Hell,
Knowing how weak
And vulnerable
We are,
And that he has
Unfortunately
Already Won!
The battle,
Of who we are...

Oh, that shower
Of falling stars,
That weeps,
How very weak
And wrong,
We really are!
