said the old man
in the hat
i wonder why he wore a hat
that cold day
he seemed proud of his hat
oh hello
said the young woman
who had clearly spent
a long time infront of the mirror
that morning
i wonder why she looks at herself so long
if she tries so hard to change her appearrance
what's your name
said the boy
who was holding a plastic ball
it didn't bother me why his hat
was on the ground
and his face was dirty
he was friendly
i liked that little boy
The creativity of this piece gets it a 9. It also means I'm moving on to the next poet, because this one has real talent. GW62
I love this poem. At 15 years of age I encourage you to continue writing. You have created a picture with your writing here and that is what the reader needs to be able relate to..........you write the words and the reader builds the picture you have created....very well done.
dear, dear, dear jess, amazing how you get that feeling about a boy you just met with mud on his face. i like the old man the best i think. so original. LOL Brookie
