A dream within a dream
Is the land we met last night
Heart jostling I gazed
At the whispering knight
Wishing for the moment to last forever
Easing my oval depths with surreal sensations
Erasing the fact that he belonged with another.
Lucid as it was, took me back to the night
Of a thousand frolicking lights
Where we were strangers
Sharing one chaise de lounge
Tongue tied we parted
And the memories rejoiced
After two decades, last night
When our lips sealed a fire
In the land of the pirates
In a dream, within a dream.
