A Duet For The Hopeless Romantics Poem by Erwick Brandon

A Duet For The Hopeless Romantics

Me: Since the first day that I met you I knew that I was on to something. Something real, something new.
How could I not feel this way about you?

You: To be quite honest with you,
I didn't have the slightest clue,
that you felt this way for me.
This feels like a dream.

Me: I know it sounds cliché,
but I can't help but feel this way.
Say you'll be my girl.
You are my entire world.

You: I thought you would never ask.
I'm you're girl if you're my man.
Take all of me.
My heart is in your hands.

(Chorus)
Both: You don't have to be afraid.
You're heart is safe with me.
Me: Take my hand, hold it tight.
You: I'll hold it all throughout the night.
Both: All I've ever wanted was someone like you.
Now that you're mine, it's a dream come true.
You are a dream come true.

You: Ever since I met you,
I knew you were something special.
I love that you are in my life,
And now I get to call you mine.

Me: I promise you that I will never stray.
The love I have inside for you will never fade away.
Always and forever.
Forever and always.

You: I promise to always be there for you, whenever you're in need.
You would do the same for me.
I've made my decision-
making you happy is my mission.

Me: I remember what you wrote to me. 'A dream is just a dream. '

You: Until you turn your dreams into reality.

Both: This feels real to me.

You: Dreams do come true.

Me: Dreams can become reality.

Both: This feels real to me.
