A Fairy Tale With Doves Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

A Fairy Tale With Doves

Rating: 5.0

Her heart bloomed as a rose beneath his velvety touch,
Which scared the little bird within her, so very much;
And she went hiding from his sight of burning love: —
Preferring the imaginary dream of a lovely dove.

In solitude and sadness, she thought of him; as a pair:
How to regain her freedom; the gate of Fate to dare
Closing behind her; silently escaping her captivity,
And fly away with him the skies, in joyful liberty.

But Time was running fast, hurrying at such pace
That she could not keep up with it; her lover to embrace;
The dove flew back to the nest: —there were hatching eggs!
And the tormented news, her dream to dust it breaks.

Since then, she is avoiding him; —returning to her barren nest,
And his songs of love whisper the yearning in her chest;
She is composing her own songs, for the entire world to see:
The devastating sweetness of romantic love—in Poetry.

Without opening her wings and flapping it, the bird in love could not scale the heavenly skies and so takes refuge in poetry. Lovely poem and beautiful write.

Velvet touch has made bloom of heart as flower. Rose beneath heart beat spreads fragrance. Burning the love is here and dove is imagining lovely dream to touch heart again and again. Sadness of life to joyful liberty dove flies in open sky and perceives everything in life. Tender songs of love whispers on returning to nest. Very nice imagery is drawn in this poem. EXCELLENT poem this is...10
