A Feeling Poem by Jerrey Ward

A Feeling

Flowers, silken from rain water and embraced from thick emptiness,
They mourn with me.
The children, circle-jumping, evaporated,
The silence has taken them.

Data-streams, stroboscopic cruelty in thousand Colors,
meandring patterns torn deep into the hearts harmonic rhythms,
Day in day out, the dark clouds have turned ever thicker.
Soul-krakens and singing without tune, dancing in the bellies,
Drawing concrete into the dreams of all living beings,
The spirit of this forest has slowly grown ever sicker.

Hardly audible, sitting on top of the glaring silence,
Where life's melody was chirping, now is white noise,
Forgotten heroes, frozen and chained into the dust below the rotten trees,
Wrap silently, as the rats are feasting to the deamons bells.

And yet, within the darkness.storms and emptiness of space,
Far away from Satans feast of glory,
Hidden below the remnants of an old house flooring,
A tiny candle still is glowing in full light.
