Memories Poem by Jerrey Ward

Memories

Rating: 5.0

There are these moments. Music louder than a thousand bombs. Fires me up. Dancing and jumping. Like I was five years old again. All inside me. Fueled by a short moment of silence. A pure mood passing by my house, like a soap bubble passing the wind shield of a parking train.

But when my eyes restart to focus. And my body goes numb. It returns. This endless storm of black and white. Like needles into my heart. Make me tick... tick... tick... Run run run. And the years flash by. Leaving no memory behind.

A nice poem, well articulated and nicely penned to capture the exhilarating nostalgic memories and the unpleasant reality of the present. A lovely piece indeed.
