A friend from childhood-Eid Mubarak
Friday,14th May 2021

Today is an auspicious day
the celebration of the holy festival all the way
it has special significance
but I feel sad at once

My friend from childhood
so pious and so good
Corona has taken a heavy toll
the cruel and heavy blow has fallen on the family

in the space of one week
hardly anyone has remained to speak
about the greeting on the completion of this holy month
i received the news of many members deaths

he has lost his wife, three brothers and a sister
the corona has moved faster
then the expected course
we feel sad and pass on the curse

he is back from treatment
but forbidden to speak at present
he is not being told about the deaths
but he knows they are all under treatment

no doubt
when we talk about
the destiny and its course
our heart is filled with remorse

I couldn't wish him 'Eid Mubarak'
as he may not speak and
advised only to take a rest
and not to be tested for shock
