A Healing Prayer Poem by karin collins

A Healing Prayer

I miss you so much,
My heart aches inside,
My feelings for you,
I can’t easily hide.

The days are so lonely,
The nights are too long,
To be here without you,
Is painfully wrong.

I know why you left,
Your heartache was mine,
The things that I said,
When I crossed that line.

But healing won’t happen,
If we don’t ever try,
Our love won’t return,
They’ll be no question why.

I’ll be right here,
If you want to call,
No feelings too big,
No gesture too small.

I’ll be looking to heaven,
With prayers taking flight,
Awaiting the day,
I can make things right.

For I’m not giving up,
This is not the end,
Just know that I love you,
My husband, my friend.
