A Hearts Epiphany Poem by D.A. Woods

A Hearts Epiphany

Happiness is hard to come by these days and I'm thankful I've had my share,
loves long gone within - with others I sit and stare.
Holding hands, smiling, looking into each other's eyes and reaching for the moon,
reminiscing of my yesterdays which I let go far too soon.

Give my regards to Venus and tell her what I miss the most,
tell her that I'm on my knees praying to be touched by her - by loves definitive host.
Stay with me, pray with me and let the nothingness disappear one last time,
cast out the emptiness and let two beating hearts again entwine.
