A Joyous Life Ahead I See Poem by Susan Alldred Lugton

A Joyous Life Ahead I See

Rating: 4.5

One morning I awoke
with new words softly spoke.
I lay there silently, as if alone
and felt the love I thought had gone.
A feeling never felt before
Not any sense of wanting more.
As if at last I knew myself
A time to be so separate,
So peaceful, loving, and complete.
The pleasure of just being me
A joyous life ahead I see.
