A Knight In Missing Armor Poem by Justin Borthick

A Knight In Missing Armor

I am no more than a memory
I accept this and agree
But often do I catch myself
Hoping you still think of me

I am no more than a shadow in
The middle of the day
Easily missed, just like your kiss
I'd speak if I knew what to say

Yet my voice is silenced as I see your life
Move on with love and laughter
I just wish that I could have been the one
To give you happily ever after
