A Long Time
Harold Wilson once said,
"A week is a long time
in politics".
Well....
A week is a long time
in love....
it is endless
and faraway in time,
compressing days
into a short space
of gravitational intensity.
It compacts thought
into the depths,
rebounding with full intention
into the atmosphere.
It is cold, then hot,
a concertina of noise
and quiet
with short intervals of sanity.
