A Madrigal #4: 'seems Just Yesterday' - Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

Seems just yesterday, when we fought as kids
Then came puppy love, and I felt aghast
To wake up and find, sixteen came too fast;

With curly lashes, and shades on your lids
How so different, I saw your eyes last
Seems just yesterday, when we fought as kids
Then came puppy love, and I felt aghast

So, goodbye to dolls, as your lipstick bids
Goodbye lollipops, pigtails of the past
How sultry you look, coming with a blast
When just yesterday, we have fought as kids
Then came puppy love, and I felt aghast
To wake up and find, sixteen came too fast.
