A Mirage Poem by Melissa Koeman

A Mirage

I trick myself
Sinking into my little make believes
Maybe you’re one of them
I’m not sure yet
But I can’t resist you
Although you’re maybe just a mirage
I care about you,
deeper than I want to realise myself
Although you’re maybe just a mirage
Sometimes I just ignore those nagging thoughts
And I picture you in front of me
Saying my name, taking my hand
Kissing me, saying that you love me
Visions of you and me
In the light of love
Just a mirage
In my world full of nothing
