A Mother's Day Limmerick Poem by Jim McLaughlin

A Mother's Day Limmerick

The Bible would have us believe,
That motherhood started with Eve,
That darned silly apple,
Red, shiny and dapple,
And a serpent sent to deceive.

Well, motherhood's still number one,
And mother, you're second to none;
And yes, by the way,
An apple a day,
Is healthy, when all's said and done.
