A New Beginning Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A New Beginning

Rating: 3.0

Clear the slate and celebrate…
Another year starts to accumulate
With degrees of emotion and recollection
A path begins… seeking a fresh direction

In the quest for a soothing breeze
Four walls of bring me to my knees
The past reiterates semiconsciously…
While opening a window simultaneously

The sky is clear and birds are singing
Barely audible…church bells are ringing
Reminding me of marriage and death
Leaning beyond the sill… taking a deep breath
