A New Day Poem by Natalie Iris

A New Day

The sun danced out of the horizon
And the world became alive with gay.
Animals woke up, plants stretched wide
Welcoming the arrival of a brand new day.

Birds flapped their colorful wings
Fishes flapped their exquisite tails.
Roses bloomed elegantly
The wind blew, sending little boats to sail.

Sunrays burst through the window
Making everywhere glow and bright.
Everything shines spectacularly
Like a dazzling diamond in the light.

The sun crept behind the mountains
Into the darkness it would lay.
Good bye and farewell, today
Longing for the advent of another day.
