A New Day
With sunshine in her eyes
Her face lights up
The cool morning breeze
On her cheeks so soft
The sight of first light
In the morning sky
Brings hope for a new day
And a twinkle to her eye
She draws a deep breath
And exhales slowly
Tranquillity fills her
As she prepares for a new day
Today is freedom
Today is peace
All mistakes are forgotten
As new memories are made
