A Night Filled With Stars - Poem by Shawna Michele

The closing of the day
Brought us
A night filled with stars
We made our home on the grass
And lying there the sky was ours

Gazing up at the dark air
Our fingers touching them
Golden yellow flecks falling
Covering us
Like rain
