A Picture Paints A Thousand Words Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

A Picture Paints A Thousand Words

Rating: 5.0

A picture may paint a thousand words.
However,
If the ones viewing what is exhibited.
Are socially illiterate.
And...
Unable to interpret,
What a photographer artistically displays.
Who today has the patience to explain,
That what is exhibited is a depiction.
And there is much more to life,
Than wishing what appears...
Had more elements of sex.
To detect immediately.
Instead of creating a display,
Too complex with social issues.

"Trust me.
I'm trying my best to understand.
Now,
What message should this picture,
Leave painted in my mind?
With words unneeded to be heard."
