A Pirate's Life Poem by Randy McClave

A Pirate's Life

I wished I was a pirate man
I wished piracy was in my clan,
And I wished I sailed a mighty ship
And a gun and a sword hanging from my hip.

'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life I wish it could be',
'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life upon the sea'.

I wished that I was a pirate man
And I wished it was in my plan,
To drink and to pillage all day long
As I sang a pirate's song.

'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life I wish it could be',
'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life upon the sea'.

I wished that I was a pirate dude
Ready to start a fierce feud,
When I plunder and I steal a wench
And never do I ever flinch.

'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life I wish it could be',
'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life upon the sea'.

I wished that I was a pirate guy
Wearing a patch over my eye,
Sailing the ship, The Saint Pauline
As I hear the ocean calling.

'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life I wish it could be',
'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life upon the sea'.

'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life I wish it could be',
'With a ho, ho, ho and a hee, hee, hee'
'A pirates life I wish it was me'.
