A Poem For Those Alone Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

A Poem For Those Alone

Being alone is bliss
There is no one there to please
Your life is amazingly free
And you are what you want to be.

There is no one you need to care for
There is no one you have to 'adore'
Your time and your wealth is yours
And no one to reject you, of course!

No conflict and no questions asked
Not even a pretense unmasked
You are just you enjoying 'alone'
It isn't so bad when you're on your own.

Being an only child, and growing up alone I know exactly what you mean. When I was in the great Mojave desert, my only companion was Bruce my dog. Great poem Cynthia.
